7 Outstanding Health Benefits of Chlorophyll

What is Chlorophyll?

Chlorophyll  (from the Greek khloros =”pale green”  and phyllon =”a leaf”) is the molecule that’s essential for photosynthesis to take place in plants.

Chlorophyll is what gives a plant it’s green color.

Photosynthesis is the process whereby sunlight is captured by chlorophyll within the plant converting it into energy that is used by that living organism.   Simply stated, chlorophyll uses sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into energy to live and the by-product is oxygen.

The oxygen we all breath comes from this process that takes place within plants with chlorophyll being the key element of function.

When eating green plants that contain chlorophyll, you are providing your body with a robust amount of minerals such as, magnesium, potassium, iron and calcium.  High in antioxidants, chlorophyll also contains vitamins A, C, E, K and beta carotene.

So, eat that green baby!…Eat that green!

7 Outstanding Health Benefits of Chlorophyll

  1. Promotes Healing

Chlorophyll has been shown to help in the growth and repair of tissue. It can be used to treat infected wounds naturally.  Because chlorophyll releases carbon dioxide and delivers oxygen to the body, this process speeds the healing process for burns and wounds.  Did you know that 100 years ago, it’s was reported that Chlorophyll expedited the healing of wounds?

  2. Can Be An Effective Deodorizer

Studies done have shown reductions in fecal matter, urine, bad breath, foul smelling wounds and body odor.  In a study of nursing home patients, it was reported that body odors where significantly reduced with the 62 involved participants.   I can attest to this when taking [easyazon_link identifier=”B01AFI3IEG” locale=”US” tag=”golivepure-20″ cart=”n” popups=”n”]liquid chlorophyll.[/easyazon_link]  It left a very refreshing taste in my mouth.

  3. Hunger Craving Curbed

In 2013, a study of 20 moderately overweight women when given chlorophyll with meals,  they showed a reduction in hunger and lower blood sugar levels.

  4. Effective Detoxifier

Research has shown that Chlorophyll hinders absorption by binding to toxic metals.  Removing heavy metals is important in taking the load off you organs allowing healing.  Toxicity in the body is believed to be a major cause of most disease and sickness.

  5. Helps Your Blood

Chlorophyll is able to transport magnesium and aid the blood in delivering required oxygen to cells and tissues.  Chlorophyll is very similar to blood with magnesium as the central atom whereas blood has iron at the center.  Some researchers have concluded that chlorophyll actually releases magnesium from it’s core, absorbs iron and essentially becomes blood…WOW!

  6. Potential Anti-Cancer Fighter

One study has shown the actual reduction in Aflatoxin-B1 (AFB1) a liver carcinogen produced by certain species of fungus.  Another study has shown a higher risk of colon cancer in men with low dietary intake of chlorophyll.

  7. Fights Candida Albicans

I’ve had my battle with this nasty booger.  This one can cause depression, fatigue, itchy skin and digestive problems ( I know from experience).    Research has shown incidents of Candida growth being stopped.  Since I began eating a green diet, with periodic fasting, I’ve experience a halt to the candida growth.  I daring to say, “IT’S GONE!”  😍

How to Get More Chlorophyll

In my opinion, the best way to get Chlorophyll is by eating more leafy green vegetables like:

  • Kale
  • Broccoli
  • Spinach
  • Collard Greens
  • Swiss Chard
  • Romaine Lettuce
  • Just about any green leafy food has chlorophyll

A CONVENIENT WAY TO GET SUPER GREENS!

Don’t have the time to prepare fresh green vegetables?

Not all of us are able to spend time making smoothies or preparing fresh vegetables.  So the next best step may be super green food powders.   A simple solution to getting your fill of chlorophyll (yes, pun intended…lol).

Here are two that I recommend:

!.

Be forewarned, Garden of Life Perfect Food has a very strong earthy taste which I happen to love that my wife thinks is disgusting…LOL!
So if the strong taste is not your thing, you may want mix it in a smoothie or juice of your choice.

2.  In addition, I often eat micro-algaes like Clean Chorella.

Chlorella is a blue-green algae some call a superfood packed with nutrients and high amount of protein.

Also mixes well in smoothies.

OR

You may also use a liquid chlorophyll.

Please be aware that liquid chlorophyll supplements are usually a chlorophyll derivative called chlorophyllin.   Basically, chlorophyllin is chlorophyll without the central element magnesium. Chlorophyllin is more stable and easier to use as a supplement also being water soluble.

Although not pure Chlorophyll, Chlorophyllin has been used for years with no reports of toxicity or alarming side effects.

Besides, I’ve been using it for years no apparent ill effects.   Oftentimes mixed in my smoothies or simply taking a tablespoonful.

As a short testimony, the results of my last blood tests were excellent.  Especially, for a male over 50 years of age.

So impressed by my outstanding blood results for my age,  my doctor asked, “So what are you doing?”

I smiled and gave a brief history of my current healthy habits.

Her response, “Well, if it’s working for you, keep doing it.”

In Conclusion

Packed with an abundance of nutrients providing super health benefits and the catalyst for photosynthesis,

Chlorophyll is not only nutritionally important but also vital to the existence of life here on earth.

Just by their very existence, the green plants provide the most precious element of life…OXYGEN!

Take away the oxygen…See how long you live.

So the next time you see that tree, give it a hug.

Walk across a field of grass, take off your shoes.

Notice a green bush, smile at it.

They are here for us!

Thank God!

So, are YOU eating your green?

If not, what are you waiting for?

EAT SOME GREEN!  😀
