Why I love the Larabar?
Because they are an all natural whole food. Nothing added. My favorite, the Banana Bread pictured here,
has only three ingredients: bananas, dates, and almonds. Containing 6 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber and %13 of the daily allowance of potassium. This little sweetie is perfect for a quick breakfast or snack during the day. I usually take one with me when I know I will not be able to eat for awhile.
Some of you may be concerned with the sugar content, but it’s not refined sugar. The simple sugars found in Larabars are due to the fruit content. This sugar is on a low glycemic level. And we do need simple sugars (glucose) for energy that fuels the body. Enjoy! Just don’t over indulge. ; ) However, if you are diabetic or your doctors says stay away, please do so at your own discretion. You decide whether Larabars are for you.
- Pecan Pie
- Blueberry Muffin,
- Cashew Cookie
- Peanut Butter Cookie,
- Carrot Cake
- Lemon Bar and the list goes on of the many combinations you may find to your liking.
Try some of these tasty little wholesome goodies. I’m sure you will not be disappointed. Find them at a local grocer, health food store or here
Chocolate Coconut Chew (the original Larabar, their first flavor) is still my favorite!!! But I look forward to trying Banana Bread when my fast allows it 😉
MMM…good!
This is an answer to prayer!!! I’m bored to death with avoiding snacks!!! I’m going to try these things!
Gloria, you crack me up.
