Why Eat Green?

To say “Eat Green” may be a vague term to some of you.  I would like to clarify what I mean when I say,  “Eat Green.”

EAT GREEN = The primary consumption of green plants, especially leafy green vegetables such as,

  • Roman Lettuce
  • Watercress
  • Beat Green
  • Chinese Cabbage
  • Kale
  • Collard Greens
  • Swiss Chard
  • Mustard Greens
  • Spinach

This doesn’t have to be leafy greens alone, but also any green plant-based food.

WHY EAT GREEN PLANTS?

Green plants contain many vital nutrients that are essential to proper maintenance of the body leading to good health.

Yet, my primary focus is upon one particular element of green plants….CHLOROPHYLL!

Chlorophyll is the element that gives green plants their green color.

Chlorophyll is the life blood of plants and grants the green plant the ability to perform photosynthesis, a process where sunlight is converted into chemical energy later to be released power for the organisms activities.

This chemical energy is the fuel used by all organisms on the earth….THIS INCLUDES US.

Since, such an all-important element is found in green plants, I feel the urge to strongly recommend we eat green….AND EAT LARGE QUANTITIES OF IT!


THE CREATOR’S EMPHASIS

For those who have different beliefs, please hear me out for a moment 🙂adameve

In the book of Bereshit, more commonly known as Genesis, which literally means “in the beginning,” God, the Creator, makes clear the original eating plan for man:

And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. (Bereshit/Genesis 1:29)

You think the one who created it all may have a bit of wisdom about what is good for us to eat?….Just saying 🙂

Since chlorophyll receives the light from the sun and turns it into usable energy for living organisms,

COULD IT BE that chlorophyll is the vehicle by which we receive the light of life, of God, of the Creator, of the True Light?

Light, the energy that sustains LIFE.

Does chlorophyll aids us in receiving, becoming and REVEALING THE LIGHT?

So you ARE what you eat?

Eat a green plant based diet which through photosynthesis processes light into energy therefore allowing you to become LIGHT?

I’m  not saying you will be closer to God by eating green-based food.

Nevertheless, is it a factor in making your body (temple) more conducive to receive THE LIGHT?

Hmmm?….Just a theory.  A theory I will explore here at Go Live Pure.

 

FINALLY

On my journey to wellness, eating a primarily plant based diet ( BTW,  I do eat clean meats) with an emphasis on green plants has been a core belief and practice.

With all my heart, I think this has been a crucial ingredient in the transforming of my health and possibly for yours too.

If you’re not already doing so, I heavily encourage you to EAT YOUR GREENS!

You may possibly become what you eat….THE LIGHT!
